Simara is a south eastern city in Bara district of Nepal. Simara can be reached through Tribhuwan Highway and the nearest destination to Simara are Hetauda and Birgunj (the gateway to Nepal from India). There is a Simara Airport in Simara situated at Pipara Simara. It is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
The Simara Airport is 30 min drive from Birgunj, an hour drive from Hetauda and 20 min flight from Kathmandu.
